Probably just keep it for decoration and as a collectable. Still in working condition but could use some cleaning and adjustment.ĭon’t think I’ll use it on the air I like my modern paddle and electronic keyer too much. I have since purchased new finger pieces for it so it is closer to original now. This is an “Original” model and the serial number dates it to 1926.
A really good deal, actually, since it is a collectible in relatively good condition and came in its carrying case. Wondered if I could get one cheaply and it turns out a lady was selling one on Craigslist locally. Made me think about the nice chrome keyer I used as WN9RVW and wished I still had it. Before I became interested in getting my amateur radio license again I had a nostalgic moment when I saw an old Vibroplex keyer on a friend’s fireplace mantle as decoration.
